💥WHAT ARE MACROS?💥
.
🖐🏼First up! A big high-five to my source @macroplate
.
🤷🏼♀️ If you've been hanging around my page for a while then you've seen me talk a lot about the importance of being in a calorie deficit to lose fat.
.
💪🏼 But today, we're going to discuss what it takes to take your body to the next level using macronutrients.
.
🤡 To keep it succinct, when you hear someone talk about having a "balanced meal," they're essentially referring to the importance of having a wide variety of macronutrients. To achieve this, your diet must include the essential nutrients and vitamins offered in the three macronutrients:
.
🍗 Protein
🍎 Carbohydrates
🧀 Fats
.
👍🏼 Macronutrients also play a significant role in body recomposition. For example: when it comes to building muscle, the pathway can be made easier by consuming a high protein diet (1 gram per bodyweight pound).
.
😏 In contrast to that, a diet mostly made up of 🍕and 🍪 will not provide optimal results for a lean, "toned" physique due to the lack of required nutrients (not enough protein).
.
⛽️ In order to change your fat to muscle ratio, you must eat the appropriate balance of macronutrients to support that goal.
.
⬆️ Check out the #infographic above for the recommended amounts and let me know if you have any ❓
